Your order will be sent to you by our company or by a partner carrier of its choice during working hours and days (Monday – Friday, 10:00-17:00). Due to our partner courier company’s basic delivery schedule, deliveries are as follows:

– within Attica within 3 working days from the dispatch of the products to the carrier (usual time: 1 day)

– – to prefecture capitals within 3 working days after the products are sent to the carrier (except islands) (usual time: 1 day)

– – to the other regions within 4 working days from the dispatch of the products to the carrier (usual time: 1-3 working days)

Our company and its partners take all the necessary measures for the valid delivery to you of the products you have ordered based on the above schedule. However, it is not responsible for any delays due to force majeure or events beyond its control. Indicatively, it is not responsible for causes of delivery delays due to delays in customs, intermediate loading-unloading areas, transport strikes or other types of strikes that affect the delivery of products to our company’s warehouses from our suppliers, etc. In the event of any delays, our company will make every effort to contact you on the details you have provided in order to inform you about this and to consult with you about the new delivery or the delivery of another product.

Although we have taken every possible care to inform you in relation to the possible lack of availability of a product, nevertheless there is a possibility that there will be an unexpected lack or unavailability of the product from our suppliers (and after the confirmation of your order). In this case, our company will again make every effort to contact you in order to inform you about this and to agree with you about the new delivery or the delivery of another product or the cancellation of the order free of charge for both parties and the interest-free refund of any money paid within a reasonable period of time.

Inaccessible Areas

In case of a hard-to-reach area, there is an extra charge. In case the consumer does not want to bear the cost, there is the possibility of collection from the nearest courier store with the basic transport charge.

In special cases of orders of large volume or weight, the shipment is made by means of transport of the absolute choice of Mercato, while some deliveries are only possible in large urban areas. Mercato reserves the right not to accept specific orders and reject specific sales, informing in time and returning the entire price of the canceled order, if any.

Completion of the shipment with the receipt of the products
It is clarified that the products of your order are sent and the responsibility for the transport to the place you have indicated to us and until they are received by you rests with Mercato. If for any reason the carriage is carried out by your own means or by a carrier acting on your behalf, then the responsibility for the carriage rests with you.

Upon receipt, the condition of the product and its packaging should be carefully checked, in order to identify any problem that may have arisen during transport. If you find any problem with the packaging, please do not proceed with receiving the product, but contact us immediately. If you notice a problem immediately after receipt, you should report this to the carrier immediately. Immediately afterwards please contact us informing us of the relevant statement you made to the carrier.

Transportation Charges

Freight charges are based on volumetric and billable weight – billing volumetric kilograms are NOT necessarily related to product kilograms.

In hard-to-reach areas, pickup will be done from the nearest transport office or there will be a charge for delivery to the hard-to-reach area.

The delivery times of the shipments are determined by the transport company (courier) and are usually morning – noon hours (approximately 10.00-16.00). In the event that the customer wishes a specific delivery time, this is done after consultation with our online store and carries a charge of €3 in the cost of transport.
